The BC Ministry of Health now has a website that advertises research projects which we can volunteer to participate in.
Researchers post descriptions of their projects and volunteers (you and I) can post our profiles on the site which researchers can review. It’s kind of like a “research dating service” that allows you to see what’s available and then ask to be connected.
And even if you don’t want to register – you can still view the latest projects by going to: https://www.reachbc.ca/search?query=%20#/ By registering and setting up your profile, you’ll be alerted to the newest projects as they come online. Once a project is posted on REACH BC, you can be assured that it is legitimate and has been peer reviewed.
At the moment there is only one prostate cancer research project being advertised that is asking for volunteers. Pain Relief
But more will come.
