Peer Support

Facing a diagnosis of cancer by yourself can be a real challenge. Many of us who have, realized early on that we needed someone to talk to.

The Vancouver Prostate Support and Awareness group wants to help. We offer a peer support program that matches you with one of our members who has had prostate cancer. Your Prostate Cancer peer can:

  • answer questions about treatment options
  • relate his experience both during and following treatment
  • discuss side effects of a particular treatment
  • suggest resources to help you deal with stress and anxiety

If you are interested in finding a peer, contact Len Gross, Chairman of our group, by sending him an email using Contact Us. You can also come to the next meeting of Vancouver PSA on the first Thursday of each month, and speak to our Chairman.
